Project realized while working with Josef Paul Kleihues

In the summer of 1996, I worked with Josef Paul Kleihues on a project for an addition to a historic hospital in the Prenzlauerberg district. Kleihues had been the head of the redevelopment of much of Berlin after the wall came down, including jumpstarting projects with Zaha Hadid, Aldo Rossi and John Hedjuk - he also led the revitalization of the new Potsdamer Platz project with Renzo Piano and others.
