I had always wanted to visit this project in southern germany since I had seen it published years ago as a design, then followed the construction over the years. we went on the day of a world cup match between germany and brazil – so it was rather empty and easy to explore. everything exceeded expectation – the food, the interactive displays, the collection, the staff and customer/user experience. highlights include starting the tour in a futuristic pod elevator that plays a projected historical video on an opposite wall as you rise through the levels to the uppermost floor. the intertwined ramps that lead to various lilly pad-like levels of displays. as someone who is not that interested in cars and anything automotive – this was an incredible experience…
